Our partners at the National Association for Family, School, and Community Partnerships recently released a comprehensive review of the work and impact of the twelve federally-funded Statewide Family Engagement Centers, including MASFEC.

NAFSCE writes:

Because [family] partnerships are so vital to positive student outcomes, family and community engagement requirements have been integrated into many federal educational programs, including the Statewide Family Engagement Center (“SFEC”) federal grant program. Since 2018, 12 SFECs representing 13 states have been funded to create systemic partnerships with State Education Agencies to provide technical assistance and training to schools, districts, community partners, and SEAs, as well as to provide parenting education and family engagement programming.

Catalyzing Family, School, and Community Partnerships: A Review of the Work of the Statewide Family Engagement Centers addresses the programs and services that the current SFECs are providing to families, practitioners, community stakeholders, and state leaders; provides highlights of specific resources and services developed; identifies systemic leadership efforts; and provides insight into how grantees have supported their constituents during the COVID-19 pandemic.
